The Lucra – which goes from 0 to sixty in just under three seconds - can be yours for just £80,000.
The dream car – which has a V8 engine but still weighs just 2,000 pounds, was conceived and designed by Luke Richards from his luxury showroom in California, USA.
The 43-year-old said: “I first came up with the idea for the Lucra car in 2005 and we got our first prototype in 2006.
“The job of the car is to be a light weight, high performance and high powered car.
“It’s easy to drive, gives you a lot of confidence and inspires some really daring maneuvers.
“It’s just fun and everyone that gets out of it has a huge smile on their face.”
After being brought up in both Europe and the United States he had a passion for both kinds of cars and decided on this concept.
“My father told me that you could either have a car that was fast on the straight or fast on the corners – there was no in the middle," added Luke.
“Back then you had Camaros and Mustangs from the US with huge engines and big horsepower and then you had the European sports cars which had lower horsepower but they were lighter and were quicker on corners.
“Growing up in England and America meant I had a passion for V8s but also for lightweight sports cars.
“So I did what my father said was impossible and made a really light weight sports car with American muscle for power.”
Despite the Lucra’s power and the intricacies of its design the car can be customised and built for prospective customers in just eight weeks.
Luke added: “We start off with our computer model of the chasse and every other component and then we laser cut all of the steal, tubing and the sheet metal.
“We put them in and we weld the chasse together to one piece.”
From his headquarters in Los Angeles and Santa Monica Luke weights the Lucra at the back meaning it handles well even at top speeds.
“It likes to drive through corners, it’s really friendly and really difficult to spin, added Luke.
“It makes for a very high performance car that’s really easy to drive whether you’re a novice or a professional.
“The majority of the people that buy the cars are not professional – they’re just regular guy on the street.”
But aside from the Lucra’s incredible performance – Luke says the most rewarding part about designing the car is the reaction it gets from others.
He added: “There are lots of things the car can do that a regular car cannot.
“It’s won races, it’s jumped bridges in Mexico, it’s been in movies, it’s been off road but the main thing it does is stop traffic anywhere it goes.
“Everyone wants to talk about it – if you go to the gas station it will take you an hour to get out of there because people will be asking you about the car.
“It just makes people smile – people are happy when they see it and they just want to talk about it.”
